Another lockdown has been described as ‘devastating’ for Thornbury’s businesses. Zoe Gilbraith, secretary of Thornbury Chamber of Commerce, said that despite them having prepared as much as they are able, the situation was a huge blow for all businesses in the town. The new restrictions mean all non-essential shops have to close, but many businesses will continue to trade by other means. Zoe said: “Even though their front door may be closed, many are carrying on by offering online and/or click and collect services. “All the local businesses very much appreciate the support they have had during this crisis and hope people will continue to support them throughout the next lockdown.”
