and the fbi came out with a joint technical alert. so they went after water systems, nuclear systems, power generation systems, even the aviation system according to the dhs and the fbi. what was different about this from other various cyberattacks we ve seen is, this was, according to them, a very targeted attack. in other words, they wanted to go after specific players, specific companies, and specific systems, and they were able to get into our power generation systems according to them. they ve even provided some documents to show what the russians would have been looking at on their own screen. they were in the command of the control systems of these power plants. the poisonings meddling in the election, and targeting systems, that was sounds like a lot of very blatant interference and meddling on russia s part.
