The United Kingdom s Littoral Response Group (LRG) arrived in Chennai for maintenance, marking the first time a Royal Navy vessel will undergo maintenance at an Indian shipyard, as per the UK-India logistics-sharing agreement. This highlights the growing strategic partnership between the two countries in the Indo-Pacific region. The LRG will later operate in the Indo-Pacific for training, exercises, and engagement with allies and partners. The visit follows Defence Minister Rajnath Singh s UK trip, where India and the UK agreed to enhance defence cooperation and conduct joint military exercises.
