My Turn: House rules on safety open many questions

There has been no indication that the GOP members of the NH House of Representatives have made any effort to revisit, rethink, and revise the House rules established on Jan. 6, 2021. This is unfortunate. No, this is irresponsible.
Not requiring sexual harassment, unconscious bias, and hostile work environment awareness training is a danger to our legislative process. If this training had been required, the GOP members would have been aware that bringing a gun to most work places creates a hostile work environment. Ironically, some GOP members have asserted their own potential need to defend themselves while doing the people’s work [e.g., Speaker Pro Tem Rice (R-Hudson): “I am a firm believer I should be able to protect myself no matter where I am … At this highly charged political time when people are angry, I am not going to be a sitting duck,” he said according to InDepthNH.org,
