The fate of dynel lane is now in the hands of the jury. Closing arguments wrapped up this morning. She is charged with attempted murder, assault and unlawful termination of a pregnancy. The prosecution tried to hammer home dynel lanes intent to kill Michelle Wilkins and cut out her unborn baby girl. Wilkins was in court. Attorneys explained to the jury that lane right here had been trying to prove to her family for months that she was pregnant and they recall photos of lane hosting a baby shower despite the fact that she was not pregnant and they reminded the jury that lane had printed out an ultrasound that she found online and passed it off as her own. Now, lanes defense, pleaded with the jury, to only consider a charge of attempted manslaughter, not attempted firstdegree murder, because they say lane did not plan or prepare this attack.
