Were about to begin our next session, and our next session deals with issues of public understanding in the modern period in reconstruction, and we have two speakers this morning. We have Vernon Burton whos from clemson university, and we have brook thomas who is from the university of california at irvine. Both of them are stunningly important scholars in this world.
