As everyone celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Bangladesh Liberation War, there is a lesser known Indian achievement from 1971 that is saving lives even today â and not just in India. A humble Bengali doctor who worked tirelessly in the refugee camps along the India-Bangladesh border created one of the greatest health innovations that has saved over 70 million lives globally so far, most of them children.
