presidential assassinations he has spent 30 years at st. elizabeths in dc. a psychiatric hospital. paul. reporter: this is the government s case you may recall back in november and december, he and his attorney put on their own case in which they are trying to convince the judge he should have much more time and more freedom to visit his mother in williams burg but the government, is opposing it today, they put on a secret service agent to talk about what he saw at a barnes and noble bookstore as well as a barnes and noble clerk. those two took the stand today. agent jason clickenner told paul freed man he observed, john hinckly looking at books about presidential assassinations, october 17th last year. inside the barnes and noble in williams burg, during a 4 day period when he was allowed to be on his own. he said he watched him, look at the book titles, and when he walked away the agent took a photo of the book which included stories of assassination of william mckinly an
