A new beginning for the Kingsville Department with a new crest that was designed and developed by Fire & Rescue Personnel.
The department brought the idea of rebranding forward following a meeting where Kingsville Fire & Rescue Personnel expressed a desire to leave the past behind and feel proud to work for the department again.
“The identity of a Fire Service is shown by having their department crest displayed proudly on the shoulder of their uniform and the side of the apparatus they ride,” Fire Chief John Quennell wrote in his report.

A graphic artist assisted with the design, and all team members voted on the crest of their choice.
The Town of Kingsville has a new fire chief.
John Quennell will replace Chuck Parsons, who the Town announced on Wednesday was no longer employed with the Town.
Quennell has decades of experience in fire and rescue operations, working in multiple capacities throughout his lengthy career. He was the Deputy Fire Chief for the Town of Lakeshore from 2011 to 2019. Previously he was a career firefighter with the City of Windsor for 32 years, where he retired in 2010 with the rank of Assistant Fire Chief.

In October 2020, Quennell answered the call to help the Kingsville Fire Department and filled a leadership void as a temporary Deputy Fire Chief. A recent review of the Kingsville Fire Department concluded that a change in leadership within the fire department was necessary.
