A missing Tennessee teenager, who authorities once believed was in “serious risk” of danger, has been found safe in Alabama.
Samson Police pulled the teen over Friday around 1:30 a.m. after noticing she was driving a car with a tail light out and expired tags, according to a statement from the department.
Daphne Westbrook, the Tennessee teenager who was allegedly kidnapped by her father back in 2019, has been found safe in a small Alabama town just a few miles north of the Florida border. Her father, though, is still on the run.

John Oliver Westbrook is still wanted for the kidnapping of his daughter Daphne Westbrook in October 2019 when she was 17. He faces 20 to 25 years behind bars. Daphne was found safe on Friday, May 28, 2021.

TAMPA, Fla. â A Florida Amber Alert issued for a Tennessee teenager missing since 2019 has been canceled because the girl has been found safe, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
The Florida Amber Alert was issued for Daphne Westbrook, now 18 as of Sunday, in March after she and her father John Oliver Westbrook were last seen in the Florida Panhandle. Authorities say John has been indicted for kidnapping his daughter when she was 17 and holding her against her will.
