America’s newest national park isn’t new at all – in fact, it’s one of the oldest places on earth. “The boulders on the sides of the river are more 300 million years old,” said rafting guide Scott Emery, as we plunged into a wall of whitewater on the New River in mid-April. “They’re four times older than the Grand Canyon.”
