One is a new hotel adjacent to the Convention Center with a new parking ramp. Second is an agriculture and Expo Learning Center near the site of the former john morrell plant. And third new housing in the 100 block of virginia street. All of which Economic Development director Mark Dougherty says will be beneficial to the city. Start this spring. December 2016 is the target time to open the park. Its been talked about for tonight, the Sioux City School board approved a land donation to the city of sioux city. If you look a little to the west of lincoln elementary, youll see dearborn bridge. Sioux city of land leading up to that bridge. The school board decided to donate that piece of land to the city so that they can reconstruct the bridge. They say this is a common practice between the School District and the city. And this is not the first and for sure not the last time they will go through with Something Like it.
