political game. the political finger pointing over threats and vandalism against lawmakers took a new concern thursday. security threats against members of congress is not a partisan issue. reporter: virginia republican congressman eric canitor said his richmond campaign office was shot at this week and accused democratic chairman tim kaine and von holland for exploiting incidents against democrats for political gain. i have deep concerns that some, and holland and tim kaine in particular, are dangerously fanning the flames by suggesting these incidents be used as a political weapon. reporter: in response to congressman canitor, von holland s office issued a statement today saying, quote, he chose to use the press conference to level false accusations. this is straight out of the republican political playbook d deflecting responsibility and distracting attention away from a serious issue. this is over the line. reporter: virginia democratic congressman said a prop
