In that study and as a fairly recent immigrant myself i am very aware of the challenges new philipinos face. We are unable to immediately adapt to demands of life in our new country. That can be addressed by providing culturally sensitive pathways to college. Within the context of philipino culture youth will receive College Degrees and are able to maximize their earnings potential within the work force, can help lift their own immediate family out of poverty as well as start their even few fuer families on the right foot, thereby breaking the cycle of poverty thats prevalent in our community and well in the city. As you are already aware, San Francisco is one of the worst income and social inequality gaps in the country today.
