The Defence Headquarters of the Nigerian military said the Air Task Force of Operation Lafiya Dole has knocked down more terrorists’ hideouts, killing scores in two locations in Borno.
The Coordinator, Defence Media Operations, John Enenche,in a statement on Sunday, said the attacks were conducted on Saturday at Kote Kura and Bulama Isamari communities in Borno.
Mr Enenche said the Air Task Force employed an appropriate force packages of Nigerian Air Force (NAF) fighter jets and helicopter gunships based on credible intelligence.
He said the intelligence revealed that the Boko Haram terrorists had established camps within the two settlements where they store their logistics as well as plan and launch attacks.
Scores of Boko Haram insurgents were killed on Saturday, January 2, 2020, after the Air Task Force of Operation Lafiya Dole destroyed the terrorists' new settlement at Mana Waji in Borno state.

The Air Task Force of Operation LAFIYA DOLE, has eliminated several Boko Haram Terrorists (BHTs) and destroyed their structures and logistics store in Borno State.
The military in a statement issued on Saturday by Major General, John Enenche, Coordinator, Defence Media Operations, Defence Headquarters, said the feat was achieved on 1 January 2021, at Mana Waji in Borno State where the BHTs set up a new settlement.
“The air strikes, which were executed employing a force package of Nigerian Air Force (NAF) fighter jets and helicopter gunships, were carried out after series of aerial surveillance missions revealed that the new settlement was being used to store their weapons and logistics items and as well as plan and stage attacks. On sighting the NAF aircraft, the insurgents were seen fleeing the location. Air Task Force of Operation Lafiya Dole has destroyed a new Boko Haram settlement at Mana Waji in Borno, killing scores of the terrorists in massive air interdiction missions on Friday.
The Coordinator, Defence Media Operations, Maj.-Gen. John Enenche, in a statement on Saturday, said the air interdiction missions were conducted after series of surveillance revealed the settlement.
