Following in the footsteps of his father who was a new York City Police department officer, and he died 22 years ago today, along with his brother who was a firefighter. This young man says service is in his dna. His mother is also was a police officer. It almost seems like it never crossed his mind not to follow in their footsteps. I said to him, considering what happened to your dad and uncle, dont you realize how dangerous this job is. He said, i do, but i also know i have to do this because its a part of my dna.
