This morning were learning new details about that deadly amtrak Train Derailment overnight. Investigators revealed the train was speeding before plunging off the tracks near seattle. Nbcs kirk hawkins joins us live from dupont, washington, where the cleanup effort is underway this hour. Kirk . Reporter ntsb investigators held a News Conference here a short time ago, and they told us the train was traveling at 80 Miles Per Hour, more than twice the legal speed limit of just 20 Miles Per Hour. Raindrops ha raindrops are freezing on contact. The purple may be a mixture of freezing rain and sleet. Its less dangerous that the pim pink freezing rain. You can see there are patches here in new jersey making it not a solid thing. Its not continuous and some of this is not even reaching the ground. But it is, all through the philadelphia area, and points to the north and west, in philly, this is all freezing rain, an icy mix, maple glenn and norristown, all freezing rain just to the north. It is snow and it would be the best thing because you can deal with an inch of snow. And to the west now, its changed over to snow. Wifes funeral, but James Kaufman remarried since then. The victims daughter sued her stepfather aimed at stopping him from collecting on any insurance policies. They seized documents and evidence from his home and his medical office. He was there last year in june. Kaufman was holding a 9 millimeter gun. It happened when he was met by fbi agent who is had come to carry out a search warrant. He received a ride to the kaufman residence. The doors were left opened and frank was given a gun to carry out the task. He went inside and he shot April Kauffman twice. Dr. James kaufman who appear ed in court does remain in jail tonight on earlier gun charges. We should tell you the man who pulled the trigger, who was an associate of the motorcycle gang, he died a year after killing kaufman from an apparent overdose. He received 20,000 in the murder for hire. We are awaiting some reaction from both kaufmans daughter as well as dr. James kaufmans attorney. We have reached out to him. As soon as we
