As you see, this one is a fastmoving fire there, firefighters arriving on the scene within the hour trying to get all of that under control. Not only dealing obviously with the fire there, but the cold temperatures, and theyre not dealing with the strong winds yet. If you want to look at kind of breitbart side here, not dealing with the strong winds, but certainly, trying to get that fire under control, monitoring the latest on that, of course, we will update you in just a no, maam. Lets talk about the latest weather conditions here, and what you can expect in your neighborhood, so sure yes, good morning. You know bee start the top of the the hour with number every days always, and the number is a one, today, we of course will show that you coming up. But radar showing whats going on, and talking about where is the know . And we do have some dry slots, as the snow moves in, in bands, because the air has been dry for day after day after day. And now getting this moisture, and the atmosphere has yet to moisten up, fill all of this, in but it will. So we have 25 degrees, but it feels like 11 outside. Sunrise time 7 23. Not seeing much here in old city. But our High Temperature today, 26. Single digit windchills, throughout the afternoon, as the winds pick up, and gust to around 40 miles an hour. So, thats what we have. Going on for today. How much . Well, of course, the closer to the coast that you get, the more youll see, a lot of folks along the shore points will be in double digit snowfall totals. Thinking four to six until the metro area, further north and west you go, the amounts get little less. But we have Team Coverage of the storm, as we continue to watch it, and kind of change the forecast, throughout the afternoon, or throughout the rest of the morning, just feels like afternoon, bob kelly, because weve already been here for quite a while. Yes, exactly. We got long way to go. 5 02, good morning, sue. Two situations right now, both involving tractortrailers. This is a jackknife tractortrailer, southbound lanes of 95. Right before the blue route. 476, right at stewart avenue. Route 420. So again, south 95 in delco. Other situation a jackknife tractortrailer, caught fire, turned into a fatal accident. The truck left the roadway, south on 295 right before delaware memorial bridge. All south round lanes closed youth route 322 over to the new jersey turnpike of the here is a example outside of the benny, speed restrictions across the bore on all of the area bridges. Lets jump around, give awe idea of Road Conditions in the county. This is county line road, up here in Montgomery County. And an example whatever were dealing, with again, everything wet, slushy, snow covered. It could be ice. 24 degrees right now, here is a live look, little double shot for the gang down here in Chester County, this is creek road, just off of route 202. And here is a live look, at the lower end of 202 right outside of the concord mall. So again, depending upon where you begin and end your trip, little bit of everything for the folks down the shore, this is 47, 347, again, quickly, becoming snow covered. Even though you get a plow goes through there, that wind, as steve and sue had mentioned, just throws the snow right back on to the roadway. Here is the causeway bridge, in and out of ocean city. You can see road surface, just about ten minutes ago, obviously quickly becoming snow covered. And then for the gang down in dover, theyre getting it the worse so far. Here is a look outside of dover downs, the raceway, and this is right outside of the service plaza, there along route eight. Speed restrictions on the new jersey turnpike, if you are going to be driving, make sure youre prepared. Full tank of gas, cell phone, cell phone charger, throw a blank net there, in case you get disabled, or you get stuck in a big traffic jam. Thats why you need the gas. No parking on the snow emergency routes. I put link up, on both my facebook and twitter pages of the exact routes in which youre either ticketed and towed, if your cars park out there, new Jersey Transit and patco running on regular schedules, but expect slower speeds than normal. The concern here is the colds temps, and those power lines, they dont want to pull down the over headlines. So the trains will go slower than normal. Same deal with amtrak, and dart, and the market frankford and Regional Rail lines all running so far so good, but with speed restrictions this morning, karen, thomas, back to you. Appreciate the update, bob, here you go. We take you outside once again, wildwood good morning to you. You saw the if you four sections sue had on her map earlier today from trace amounts, one to three, three to six, six to ten. This is one of the areas that you saw in purple. Expecting six to 10 inches. And it is the gaels. Look at the wind right there. You can see the snow just whipping past the lights right there. Lets go little up the coastline to Atlantic City right now where steve is. And see what it looks like. He was getting pelted earlier. Steve, how is it now . I got a meteor old call quiz, i will step on mike mascos toast here, quite a difference between blowing snow and drifting snow. Often here we have blowing and drifting snow here. So not redundant, blowing snow, causes cents visibility hawes armed, drifting snow is the stuff you see by the wheels of that suv, that piles up in the ground, but is not obviously a visibility hazard, unless youre planning your face first on the ground. Because you fell. Here is a showing you the drifting here. Look at this. There is no snow on the sidewalk at all here. Then against this parking thing, you got like 6 inches. It is even drifting on to the intercome surface in this little outcove here on a porch. So, it is blowing underneath things. By the way, why im here, and i have whats left of the teeth of the scraper, look at this, here is another hazard. We just cleared these wiper blades. There is ice built up while driving, getting thick, harled, as you can see on your windshields. So this is the stuff that will be hitting you, as people fly over you, and you go behind somebody, this is the stuff, why they tell to you clear off your car first, but you cant clear this stuff because it is building up on your windshield. So lots of hazards if youre driving, and seeing too many people drive. We are on the bay front by the bacby theback bays to illustrate further how it is snowing, but very windy here, and you see in one spot how ridiculous it is. So here is the sidewalk. Clear sidewalk. It looks like somebody shoveled. But they did not shovel. Then if i just step 2 feet on the other side of this, im like in a foot of snow. How is that for phenomenon . You got a foot here. You have got nothing right here. So there is no way youre going to accurately read any snow totals here at the shore no matter what anybody tells you. Now we look over the see wall at the bay. And you can see, it is completely frozen. So, were getting ice blowing across the bay. But the fact that i can see the Atlantic City expressway light to the right, tells you that visibility isnt completely off. I can see that big neon billboard to the right as well. But, look how deep the snow is here. Against the see wall sidewalk. So, i can say i got a foot of snow here, because it is to up my knees, but i can also say hey, it is not snowed at all, i got clear sidewalks. So there you go. And there is your lesson from a nonmeteorologist about the difference between blowing and drifting snow. Dont say you didnt learn anything today watching this show. It is your fox 29 landing right there is your stage, my friend. Clear just for you this morning. Thank you, steve. That is awesome. We appreciate it. By the way. Yes . We are taking a private, within the news room, go fund me to pay thomas parking ticket, thomas, we all got your back, brother. What are we up to, 98 cents . We got 98 and more to go. So it will be the same story up and down the coast here, up and down the shore, rehoboth beach, youre getting hammered this morning. Slammed. Sue was telling us yesterday, this is one of the areas that you certainly want to look out for and prepare. Because youre not only dealing with the snow this morning, but in a couple of hours the winds, the winds will be picking up here. They are already getting the gaels coming off the coast there, looks like visibility getting reduce the, we know noreaster just chomp up the beach, that will be issue later becomes check in another area of delaware, where jenny joyce is in wilmington. Hey, jenny . Good morning, karen, thomas, seeing exactly what steve keeley is seeing, because of the high winds, some areas here in Rodney Square have about an inch or so of snow, whereas other have zero snow on the sidewalk. So, taking a look over here, you can see, the city buses are still running. But just within the lasts 15 minute or so, delaware governor john carney did announce that allstate offices will be closed today. So, as of last night, it was only sussex county. Thats southern delaware, the delaware beaches, were going to be closed because as we know they are getting pounded by the noreaster. But again, lasts 15 minutes, he update that to tweet explaining that all three counties of delaware will have government offices closed, all nonessential employees will not be report to go work this morning, so the winds the big factor right now, precipitation, not as strong as it was within the last hour or so. It is kind of, i guess, i dont know if we are in a lull. I know steve keeley lovers that word, the lull, of the storm, but, it is that wind. And as the morning goes on, as i mentioned, the buses are still running, weve seen Police Patrolling this area seen multiple snow plows, salt trucks, pass us by, just keeping an eye on the storm, karen, thomas . Sounds great, jenny. We are keeping an eye. Because we keep getting update about the routes slower, thank you, we appreciate amtrak, reducing their service as well for people to up new york, because obviously theyre getting slammed, airports all of that. Lets look at the pictures, though, thank you for sending them in. Fox 29 snow is our hashtag of this day. Seen a writing in, about 4 inches in claire month, new jersey, thank you for, that and the ruler, as well, our viewer meteorologist. Get the ruler out start measuring, let us know what you are seeing, love to see your pictures, also looking at the radar, you know this some certainly going to be with a weather event. Not only dealing with the snow but also the wind. Seeing some speed restrictions this morning, bob kelly . Yes, the ice and snow building up on the overhead power lines, the reason why all of the trains are going to be running slower this morning. We got jackknife tractortrailer, already here, on i95. And come on, lets go to the shore, get some salt walter taffy, maybe mack and mango pizza, live look at the ocean city boardwalk. We are going to check the jam cams, sue and mike got the when my smile is bright, i feel ready to shine. Some whitening toothpastes only remove surface stains, colgate optic white high impact white is different. It has hydrogen peroxide, to whiten four shades for a visibly whiter smile. Trust your smile to colgate optic white. It says it all right you there, winter blast, wilmington, delaware, good morning to you, we look live at 5 14, oddly enough, sue, feels little warmer this morning. It is, it is in the 20s, in some cases, and we havent seen 20s in the morning for a long time. But, perhaps you notice that camera, shake ago little bit, in wilmington, the wind, is just as much of an issue today as the snow. So we have an advisory, Winter Weather advisory to the north and west of us, winter storm warning for philadelphia, and along that i95 corridor, for lack of better term. And a blizzard warning for our coastal counties, and thats because of the winds, and the snow, you see the snow moving in, but you also see a few areas where there isnt any snow. That may be your neighborhood. Lets head into the neighborhoods, see whats going on. We have been looking at camera all morning from rehoboth beach, and the snow has been pretty steady there. Along with lewes, delaware, as well, southern Cape May County here, around cape may courthouse, seeing some pretty steady snow, also, up in little egg harbor, up in ocean county, here in philadelphia, it has been light. Roads are getting covered now in our neighborhood. But you see that dry slot, in northern Chester County there, but around sadsbury starting to see the snow fill in there. Thats where we will watch the rest of the day, weather you get a lot of snow west of philadelphia would do guarantee a lot of snow along the coals, so this is the tricky area here, say west of i95 as cbsphilly. Com this by 1230, still snowing pretty heavily along the shore, and most of new jersey, but for us gets little tricky. Everything starts to move out of here i would say between 3 00 and 5 00 p. M. West to east, exit of this storm. And it will be a welcome exit for sure. But then the wind takes over, and the cold bitter cold temperatures. So right now, were in the 20s, it is a little bit milder than it has been for a long time. In the morning. But do you have factor in the wind. We have some impressive wind gusts cents already, 38 miles an hour in millville, 37mile per hour win gusts in Atlantic City, it is cents a 30mile per hour wind gust recorded this hour, her here in philadelphia. So thats going to blow around, whatever falls on the grounds, as steve keeley was demonstrate. And we could see places along the coals, with double digit accumulation totals, four to 6 n philadelphia, two to four north and west, one to two, to the north and west of that. Then get ready for the dangerously coal temperatures, high of only 17 on friday, and 15 on saturday with brutal windchills, to boot. And then we get sunny, cold temperatures, still high of only 20 degrees on sunday. We get into the upper 30s on monday. But we could start the day with a wintery mix, it all depend on when that precipitation begins, but were not going to worry about that one until were finished with this storm, at least we see bit of milder trends as we head into more normal winter temperatures by the middle of next week. But it is a slippery morning out there, bob kelly. I mentioned earlier, it was 19 degrees this morning, when i got my coffee versus 8 degrees the past couple of days, dont let that fuel, take advantage of the kids being home on a snow day, that be the case, give yourselves plenty of extra time this morning, everything is wet. Whenever anything is wet, below the freezing mark, that is when we could have what we call black ice. Sat crews got a handle in the last 15 minutes or so, all of the bridges have speed restrictions, looking live at the ben franklin bridge. Live look at i95, southbound, right at route 420, there is a jackknife tractortrailer, but at least we can see some pavement. So the salt and brine doing its trick. Tractortrailer left the roadway, burst into flames, south on 295, still closed, down near the delaware memorial bridge. You want to use 322, over to the new jersey turnpike, they had it closed, they opened turks they closed it again, so accident Investigation Underway right now. Here is the best shots ive seen so far for the gang down in dover. Right outside of dover downs. Again, snow covered roadways. The snow blowing across, coming at us hard, so gang coming up through dover, that same storm, so again, moving across the water, and coming up the jersey shore line. Here is a live look, route 47, and 347. Again, snow covered. Here is a live look at the 52 causeway bridge for the gang in and out of ocean city. And then, down to delco we go. Live look, at the lower end of the blue route, right near 476. So far so good on mass transit. Karen, thomas, but give yourselves plenty of extra time. Everybody will be running little slower, and make sure youre bundled up. To be standing outside for that slow running bus treanor trolley. Yes, and good thing were seeing lighter traffic this morning, always reminder as you tell us, bob, the bridges, first to freeze. Thats right. Take it slow. Thanks, bob. Just was looking at the crawl, most of the schools closing on the bottom, see the day care centers, kids cant go to day care, them you probably cant go to work, hundreds cents of closings, schools making the calls right now as we speak in the hour. We know of hundreds right there, scrolling across the bottom of our screen. My district just called. I havent gotten the text yet. Even when you dont get the text still always check fox29. Com from your school. Lets take live look, we just it, outside, as we go to jenn fred, our kids in the same district, so jen we got the call. So there will be the wine parties happening in your neighborhood. Report i dont know about that, karen. No, of course they will be happening way later, you know, the snow has fallen, everyone is safe and everything like that. So check it out. We are in Delaware County. I can tell you, that we talk about this a little while ago. Delaware county is one of the counties, their district, you know, talking about ridley, garnet valley, those district, they dont make the decision about whether or not to close until the morning of. And so, if you look at these roads, this is not a main road. It is not a side road. It is kind of somewhere inbetween. I can tell you, it is cents a bit slick. Onto our left, we do see those are actually big trucks, i thought they might have been school buses, oil trucks. So, oil trucks are out there. The snow plows are out here, there are trucks that are, you know, making sure that these parking lots are clear. So as we take a right, onto a road, that says no outlet, bad movement, were going to show you a little bit about what it looks like. So obviously you can see here that the roads, the side roads in particular, were in upper darby, still definitely covered with snow. The other thing that makes driving around a little tricky this morning, is that remember that the roads were already, you know, very, very cold, when all of this first round of snow came on. So already frozen roads, which as the meteorologist will tell you, means that the snow is quicker to stick to the ground. So, maybe, you know, a month ago you might have had an inch or 3 inches every snow, tan might not have, you know, stuck around, so it wouldnt have look like this, whereas even inch of snow will stay here and as you can see, be a little bit tricky to drive on. So, we are headed to aston. Also, in Delaware County. We hear they have little more snow. Go to twitter. Tell us where you want to go, what roads you want to see, what areas you want to see, uand we will most certainly go there. Great description whatever you are seeing, jen, certainly appreciate t i know youre with mike this morning, mike you have been through a number of these storms. How is it feeling under the wheels . Oh, it is cents a little slippery out. I mean, when you hit, especially hit the side roads, your wheels kind of slip and turn a little bit. You definitely got to take your time out here, the roads definitely feel more icy than would you expect with this little bit of snow on them. But the main roads arent bad. We are on route one, on route three, those were good. But as soon as you turn onto some of the side roads, they get very slippery. So i would, you know, use extreme caution if you do plan ongoing out today. Yes, and im curious to hear from tom beck, as well, photographer out there in Montgomery County. Because i can tell you as i came in from Montgomery County roads were way worse than i thought they would be. We will check in with tom in just a little bit. Two be safe. Well check in with you shortly. We head back outside. We look live this morning, of course we will say this all morning long, it really depends on where you are this morning. Amount of snow that youre seeing, we are talking about this winter blast, it is just beginning here, more to come in about 90 seconds. Before we start, i just want to say if anyone still doesnt have fios, please stay out of the way so your lag doesnt get us all killed, ben. Whats so good about fios anyway . Uh. Whats so great about a 100 fiberoptic network that makes your gaming system actually work awesomely . Hey. Did you take out the trash . Haha, garbage boy dad, i already took out ben. Its not funny. As youre headed out this morning, if you do have to go to work, certainly want to get a check on the roads this morning, join us from penndot, chelsey lazy, good morning to you. I know your crews have been hard at work here. What are we dealing with . What are some of the trouble spots . Good morning, yes, weve already had some icy spots reported. Right now, route 320 Delaware County and in philly, from cottman to academy, i956789 already sent our salt trucks out to the spots to help with the icy conditions. Is the salt helping . We know with these very cold below freezing temperatures, that sometimes the brine doesnt work. Are we having more problems with the icing . We dont have a ton of snow . Some areas, but definately the ice. What kind of conditions are your crews dealing with . Reporter well as you said, the salt comes lessee negative when the temperatures drop. But what we do to combat that is just we spread more salt and in these situations well have to recover our routes, so were ready to do that, as needed. I know go from one route to the other to the other, and justin us process all morning long. Real quick here, i know youre busy, any restrictions that we need to look at this morning. Reporter at the moment there are no restrictions, but of course with the changing weather, were keeping an eye on everything, weaver our incident Commands Center up and running. So we will keep you updated. We are looking at every single camera thats available, chelsey laysy, we appreciate your time. I know well get another update. Well check back with you shortly, and we will be right we are dealing with the nasty noreaster right over our heads. What are you calling this, the cyclone bomb. That sounds even worse, dealing with the arctic blast here, and of course the snow amounts, then we have to deal with the winds. Several different factors here all morning long, we have you covered, every step of the way, it is 5 30, great to have you with us this thursday morning. Lets get right to jenny joyce. How is it in wilmington . Reporter good morning, guys. So the drifting snow, the wind, thats the big issue here. So, we have about an inch of snow in some parts, and then merely dusting in other parts of delaware. But we have seen the plows out. Weve seen the salt trucks out. Delaware government offices have been closed for today. Theyve been closed within the last half hour or so. Well have live report coming up next. All right, jenny, thank you so much. All of the School Closings are just coming in right now. You may not have gotten the text on your phone, get the automated alert out there for all of the parent. I havent gotten mine, but there on the website, bottom of your screen, watch and see if your Childs School is closing. Easy option if you dont have time, real quick, just look at the bottom of your screen, as you mentioned, fox29. Com. Complete list and still coming in. We mentioned new jersey by the way if youre an employee out there all nonessential employees two hour delay, central employees must report on time. Looking at the radar, sue, were in it, here. Oh, yes. It is getting closer and closer to us. And for the entire day, we are going to go with our weather number, very rare one out of ten. And with bus stop buddy, well hes just as bundled as he has been. Windchills in the single digits, in some places this morning, but temperatures are actually in the 20s, so, it is not as cold as it has been. But cold enough for snow, everybody getting snow over the ocean, of course, it is rain. We even saw little bit of lightning, can you see that there on the radar loop . Yes, out in the middle of the ocean. So, the heavier snow bands, yes, theyre there. But we also have some places where it is not snowing at all. But were thrilled to have with us this morning, mike masco, we put you outside, so you can stand in the snow and the cold, and i guess we need to explain to folks why their houses, some of them, may not be snowing just yet. Reporter sue, really atmospheric battle. We are battling tremendous amount of dry air, thats been on top of us. You know, we said earlier, been very oh, atmosphere is very dry. And were trying to moisten the layers up. The more moist they get, the harder to will snow, and then the quicker it will accumulate. Couple of changes were in the g here in philadelphia. The winds are picking up. It is real annoying snow that just kinds of hits you, very light, powdery. I want to just take a look at this storm. Because couple every changes have happened in the last half hour. This storm is now down to a 970 millie bar storm. Thats a pretty strong storm, equivalent to category two hurricane. That is sitting just off the delmarva. It will continue to push on a north to northeast kick during the course of your day. Now, there is a front just sitting off shore. That is going to be the focus of the snows, the convective snow bands that will develop during the course of your day. So look around little egg harbor, Atlantic City, down towards cape may. See how the bands pivot off the ocean . That will be the drill all day long as the front just sits off towards the south and east, of course thats going to be the focus for the heavy, heavy accumulating snow. Winds speeds up. Fifteen to 24 miles per hour, that is sustained, wow, look at dover, sustained at 30, and as we continue at the sustained winds, the visibilities come down, we have blizzard warnings, along the jersey shore, that is up through the course of your day. If we can achieve 30mile per hour winds or greater, and low visibilities for three hours, this will be classified officially as a blizzard. Live look outside, the snows coming down, just about everywhere across the Delaware Valley. Back inside to you. Yes, and it is only going to pick up as we have this current temperature 25 degrees, factor in the 21mile per hour winds, and it feels like 11 outside. So it is cold. And it will stay in the mid 20s all day. It will snow good portion, at least of the Daylight Hours today. We will talk little more in depth about the snow amounts, and when it ends, coming up in just a few minutes, but you just saw the visibility map there, bob kelly. Once the snow starts blowing around, that really messes with your vision on the roadways. Yes, you know what will be tough now . Is that folks are looking out, and thinking oh, i dont see a lot of snow on the ground or the road looks wet. Come on, lets get going, and try to do your normal thing. But caution, i caution that, because things are slippery, and theyll get worse before they get better. Accident south on 95, jackknife tractortrailer, right near route 420. Thats causing delays, here is a live look at route 202, where we just had the plow trucks come through. Move some of the snow on cue, here comes another one, coming around the curve there, and not only purr be the snow off, then putting behind a layer of salt, which again, creates the wet roadway, and thats good, but it is 24 degrees. So, hopefully that roadway doesnt turn into black ice before you get there. Here is a live look at slow go, the 42 freeway, coming in from south jersey. Here is a live look, look at the wind. How the snow is coming at you sideways here. Down 47 and 347. This is a popular intersection for anybody that heads down using the back roads, down into wildwood, and the villas during the course of the summertime. So, again, they put down that brian. They put down the salt. Just slow going. You got the delivery trucks out there. You got the plow guys running all over the place, dover, this is two great shots. This is right near dover downs, down there, so again, that snow blowing back on to the roadway, even after the plow trains have come through. And if you are going to head out, be ready, full tank of gas, your cell phone charge, grab the blanket, smacks, juice boxes for all of the kids, and remember, no parking on the snow emergency routes. I put link up to show all of those route up on our facebook, twitter and on our website. Karen and tomorrow, back over to you. They put it up an hour or two late, my friends. Just smiling at you. I know. Actually bob kel did i give me the warning this morning, so it is quick to react, but little too late. Bob, thank you. Lets head back down the shore, atlantic silt. Steve keeley monitoring the situation. Wow, what a difference minutes make here. Well, we thought, since were in atlantic sit, we have to at least show you the boardwalk once. We showed you the streets. And people were on the streets. Because some tough Atlantic City people, good employees, were getting g to work, thank you to the new Jersey Transit bus drivers, because theyre busy and lots of buses rolling. But not a lot of tourists, thats odd, right . So no trouble getting the a seat at the bench here. The boardwalk has the blowing and drifting thing weve been talking about, as well. You can see the snow going every which way. But you got a leap over some piles of snow. And then you can see, you can actually see, boards over here, where the wind is closest. So, you can see wood in spots, but this is not been shoveled. This is just Mother Nature and the winds that mike masco warned us about. By the way, in a coincidence, the 970 millie bars he talked becomes i handed those out to the kids at halloween and the kids loved those 970milibars, mike masco, thank for the recommendation. Did i see one guy going down the boardwalk, here come some lights, plow drivers, hear the music coming out of the drop cano casino. I add on a positive note. At the starbucks at the tropicana. On positive note, there is no wait for table if you decide to zip your Starbucks Coffee or tea here on the boardwalk and watch the sun come up today, if it can make it through all of the blowing and drifting. But they do plow the sidewalk, yes, we always get asked that question. Yes, they do. Because people still want to walk along the board. But, i would rather walk on snowy boardwalk, than a plowed boards walk, because nothing is more slippery than icy wet wood here at the shore, as you know, karen. Thank you, steve. I like that you can have any seat in the house right there at the starbucks, we appreciate that. Thank you. Be ready for the snow watchers this morning, 5 38. Lets take you right back outside where all across the Delaware Valley morning, cape may, good morning to you. Have they encountered any problems, there might have been an issue in the northeast, anything out there created a problem already . As of right now, in our command center, were not getting worlds of anything. Okay. Thats caused any issues. You know, what we have crews out there ready to go. Certainly like to hear that. Heather, joining us from septa this morning, we appreciate your time. I know it will be a busy morning for you, as well, as the snow continues to fall. Well check back in with you in just a moment. Good morning, im kristen rodgers, eagles got back to practice to start preparing for the playoffs, to get things going they put on the pads, players said they wanted more physical play during this next two weeks of practice, Doug Pederson listened, to amp up the level of competition before the playoffs. We reset it today. Had pretty much a Training Camp practice. Good for us. The best way to simulate a game is by practicing hard. Thats what do you in Training Camp. You know, we had few weeks to kind of get our legs back under us, and it was good. Sixersspurs last night, ben simmons, lobs it up for joel embiid here, finishes with the oop and the and one. He had 21 on the night. Sixers hold off 112106. Phil martelli and san joins taking on bcu. Martellis son assistant coach for the rams, the other works with the hawks, family affair. Newkirk, good night for st. Joes, knocks down the long two here, hawks went into over time 87816789 thats sports in a minute, im kristen rodgers. All right, kristen, thank you. We head back outside. Talking about this winter blast. We are dealing with some speed restrictions on area bridges, already, bob. Speed restrictions across the bridges, new jersey turnpike kicked in speed restrictions, not bad to just slow your roll all around the board. Live look, frandford avenue at delaware avenue. There is sugarhouse casino. The parking lot, empty, but you can kind of see in the overhead street lamp here, the snow and the winds driven snow, again, crews have been out there, put down the salt brine solution. The majors like 95 open. No problems here at cottman avenue. Live look at the roosevelt boulevard, coming out of the northeast, again, everything passable, just take your time be careful, still below freezing, so anything that looks wet could still have the potential being iced over. Live look downtown, on the vine street expressway, what i think is going to help us, is that a lot of the schools are either closed or maybe twohour delay. Thats going to ease things up at least for the morning rush hour. And naturally, if the kids are off, mom and dad seem to be off, as well. Here is a live look, 47 at 347 down the shore, see in the overhead light. Look at the wind driven snow, coming sideways at you. And thats whats happening. No quicker do they plow it it gets blown back on to the roadway. 295 close in the south jersey all because of tractortrailer accident and fire, left the roadway down near the delaware memorial bridge. So use exit four, get over to the new jersey turnpike, to further your trip south. Oops there you go on cue. The dover delaware plow train rolling on past our camera here. This is a live look right down there near dover downs. And as you can see, theyre going to plow, and then that quickly, the snow gets blown right back on to the road surface, so this is just a mile or two behind them. So that quick, they plow it, the winds blowing back on to the roadway, so thats what were dealing with here this morning, down there, in delaware, and as i mentioned, speed restrictions on the new jersey turnpike. When is this all going to ends . How much are we going to wind up with . Sue has the answer in 15 seconds. Time is 5 49. We are taking a look at the storm thats moving in, and where ever you see the darker blue, thats where the snow is falling heaviest, right off shore, but also, we have this band, just to the west of philadelphia. And we zoom in, little bit closer, show it to you there, yes, going through lancaster, berks county right now, might be seeing some heavy snow falling there, to the south of us, the delaware beach getting hit pretty hard, bethany beach, cape may in Cape May County, of course, also getting hit with some pretty heavy snow. And thats the way it will stay for most of the day. Where the heaviest snowfall, but then as weve been talking weve had bands setting up, west of there, now, in philadelphia, the snow is falling kind of lightly, at least in our neighborhood at the moment. We have the bands every snow that continue to move in, heaviest between now and 11 00 d visibility, were been talking about that, slippery travel snow ends west to east so say for the rest of the Daylight Hours, talking reduce visibility. It seems like it is the worse where the winds are highest with the blowing and the drifting snow to the south and to the east of us. Temperatures in the 20, a but our windchills are a lot lower than that, thanks to the wind gusts as high as 30 miles an hour in wilmington. So, we will have High Temperature in the 20s today not too much different it where we are now, but then the very cold dangerous air moves in after that, and then we get a little better by the middle of next week, mike masco here, steve keeley talking about millibars, a measure of course of barometric pressure, that tells us how strong the storm is. And it is pretty strong. If you were it judge it based on a hurricane, the idea on the table there is storm will continue to deepen. It is cold bomb bo genesis, not, i dont know, the whole, what is it, cyclone bomb thing that everybodys going nuts about . It is called bobo genesis, around since Ben Franklin Franklin started doing weather, what it is undergoing right now, the continued trends. Look at the buoy observations there is gives you an idea how strong this storm is. We had a gust last hour, just off Atlantic City of nearly 70 e winds headed toward atlantic, and down toward Cape May County through the morning, talk more weather coming up in just a little bit. Back inside to you. I see whole Side Business there. Whats that . M. Li bars, i survived the mili bars . Ill make a shirt. Hashtags, everything. We are nor your favorite place, lynn ville, a in media. Delaware county. As you can see, these are the roads just turned off 352, to get better idea what the side roads look like, probably the reason some School DistrictMontgomery County delaware country cancelling school for the day. Wow performance of the night. Fifteen minutes could save you fifteen percent or more. Wow, i mean, you can see the effect of the noreaster, sue talking about some of the sustained winds, certainly a lot of the games. 38 miles per hour, in some areas that we have. And you can just see it, just shillacking the boardwalk down there in wildwood, new jersey. And the size of the system that were g at with the noreaster, not only dealing with the snow, as we talk about all morning long, but extreme winds, will only get worse, the area of concern this morning with the icing, power lines, we want to get to this breaking news weve been following as well this morning, philadelphia firefighters are battling a two alarm fire. This, right here, still an active scene as the second in pemberton in queen village. So we know it broke out just before 4 00 this morning, when the crews got there to the scene, firemen actively working on 3story row home. Still not under control.
