When we stopped by his office to ask about the discovery he told us he wasnt aware the returns needed to be shredded. Wouldnt it make sense since all of these documents have Social Security numbers that you would need to protect that information. I this is a recycle. I would assumed they would take it and burn it map maybe not. I should have shouldnt have done it. Im sorry. A if you few hours after we started digging robinson who is retiring came out and put a loek on the recycling dumpster. There when really there were 11 . Court staff was sufficiently staffed during the incident. There was definitely more delays than there was 10 years ago. Reporter public defender gary goodman who has worked inside the palo alto courthouse for years says there are signs of deputy staffing issues, delays on a weekly basis to get inmates up to the courtroom. Then you can hear over the radio that it appears theyre scrambling to get enough security to bring the defendant up to the courthouse. So theres a cascading effect to that. Reporter johnson admits it does take longer to get inmates to the courtroom in palo alto because there is not an elevator but insists the courthouse is sufficiently staffed. The sheriff did not go on camera today but did say this after the escape. I believe that the court is very, very happy with the level of service that we provide. Reporter now i also want to note the public defender we spoke to is the attorney for one of the escapees. I want to make it clear. He

Bay, the east bay 49 and San Francisco, its closer to the water at about 50 degrees right now. We can expect to see a couple changes ahead. Your live camera shot over by the coliseum a lot of traffic heading south on the nimitz but no issues. Construction just cleared north of the coliseum. I will break that down for you inin bit but first i know mike is still tracking a crash in the north bay. Most of the bay look at these Speed Sensors around, most of the bay very easy right now, its only 5 01. The commute doesnt kick in until much later this time of year but we are looking at a smooth flow. In the north bay this is the one exception because we are following this deadly crash. Westbound highway 116 the ativan necessary road, between van ness and east van ness theres a deadly crash, a car ejected its driver after impact so that person, i believe thats the person who died as a result of that crash and the coroner is heading out there. Until that scene has been cleared we cannot reopen that portion of the freeway, so van ness to east van ness or vice versa is your way around it. Thats in sonoma just off highway 12 and
