Elizabeth Hickson is a copy editor for The Verge, where she has copy edited American Society of Magazine Editors award-winning features as well as countless daily news hits. In previous roles, she served as a copy editor and nonfiction editor for The Brooklyn Review, a literary magazine founded by Allen Ginsberg and John Ashbery. She began her career as a copy editor and writer for World 50, a private community for C-level Global 1000 executives.
Prior to joining Vox Media, Elizabeth received her MFA in Poetry from Brooklyn College, where she was a Truman Capote scholar. In addition, she holds her Bachelor of Arts in English from Wake Forest University. She is currently based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
