Ortom swears-in 12 new Permanent Secretaries

Share Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has charged the newly appointed permanent secretaries not to betray the trust reposed in them. The governor who sworn in the new permanent secretaries on Thursday at Government House, Makurdi enjoined them to live up to expectations so that the confidence reposed in them would not be betrayed. While reminding the new permanent secretaries that many people look up on to them as they discharge their duties, the governor regretted that many have in the past after taken oath of office abandoned their commitments. The governor noted that the new appointment was to fill the existing vacuum in the state civil service.

Daily Post Nigeria Published The Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, on Thursday, inaugurated 12 new Permanent Secretaries (PS) in the state. The governor urged the newly-inaugurated secretaries to be selfless in service delivery for the development of the State. During the inauguration, the governor charged them not to betray the trust reposed in them but work in accordance with the Civil Service rules. Governor Ortom who noted that the Permanent Secretaries were appointed based on their career, other relevant qualification, discipline and commitment to duty, said the appointment also reflects fair representation. Ortom revealed that the state now has a total of 23 Permanent Secretaries comprising seven from zone A, with Zone B and C having Eight each.
