woo! i don t know what to say. just a dynamite performance. it is 7:00 here in new york city and we start with a fox news alert. if you are just waking up, these images are about last night and damar hamlin, who is now in critical condition after he collapsed on the field in the first quarter of the monday night football game. ainsley: he s a safety for the buffalo bills and is he leaving the field there in an ambulance. i think his mom is in the ambulance after a hit during a matchup with the bengals. the nfl postponing that game out of grave concern about his health. brian: all right. garrett tenney is live with the latest. garrett? good morning, y all. this was hard to watch. you could tell right away that something was wrong. this was five minutes into the first quarter of the game. damar hamlin playing defense for thes buffalo bills and made what looked to be a routine tackle on the bengals receiver. this wasn t one of those violent vicious collisions. hamlin
because we don t think it s appropriate. you might see it throughout the day. you can probably see it online. it doesn t look like anything extraordinary except for the reaction you see a tackle being made and a shoulder going into the chest. of damar. and he goes, gets up right away and then falls fat on his back. so disturbing when players see him. reminiscent for me is when lawrence taylor looked at joe theseman after he snapped his leg. as soon as l.t. saw joe theismann he said he waiving in for medical teams. this was even more severe, obviously. because it turns out later he suffered cardiac arrest and had had his heart had to start again. it s presumed to be from the defibrillator on the scene and the great medical team that was there with a great hospital nearby, an ambulance took him out about 30 minutes later. they would cancel the game about an hour later. steve: sure. all we know for sure is there was that tackle. did he jump up. but then he pretty much immediately fell
they weren t going to get his phone. everybody has contradicted him of a crime. there s no roof whatsoever, nothing conclusive. no facts that say that tom brady did anything. there should have never been a compromised. if you go to two games that s an admittance you did something wrong. i respect the fact that trombrady believes he never did anything wrong. there should have never been a punishment. this thing has gotten out of hand it should have never gotten to the moint where it is. it s hurting the league. tom brady not being in four games hurts the nfl. why you laughing, spencer? it doesn t matter if he s a big star or not. joe, it doesn t matter. anytime we start to aqueous and get into the situational ethics it besmirches the league s reputation further. i don t care if the shield is teflon you cannot continue to go
laws of science that underscore this entire situation, it is completely incomprehensible to me that the league continues to take steps to disparage one of its all time great players. right now we re in a long step by step process as we head into the beginning of the 2015 season. so we re just going to take it one day at a time: tom brady responded to the decision. saying i m i did nothing wrong in the patriots s organization did either. here with reaction former nfl quarterback joe theseman and bill tillman. i thought they d hit a compromise, two game suspension done. the breaking of the phone seems to be the tipping point.
the manhunt is extended beyond those highways? not extended beyond that point. we also do have the fbi involved we re trying to get the information out there as far wide as possible and elicit as much help as we can. we will try to get as much information as we can if anyone has any information they should call 911 or the fbi. thank you, sir. thank you very much. okay. is this fair or right? should the nfl have nonprofit status and get the no tax break? last year the nfl made more than $9 billion and the commissioner for the nfl, well he took home about $29 million. sound like a nonprofit for you? republican senator tom coburn doesn t think so. introducing a bill that would put an end to cushy tax breaks. joe theseman joins us. great to see you. good to see you, greta. what do you make of the
