The East Alton Village Board has given approval to another aspect of the Wood River Avenue project. The board recently approved the construction using MFT funding for their part of the project.
East Alton Mayor Joe Silkwood tells The Big Z this will upgrade the road from 3
rd Street to the Wood River / East Alton border.

He says 75% of the project is paid for with federal funding, and 25% through the county. The village pays for the engineering.
