It wasn’t a must-win game the Jefferson City Renegades. But it would have been nice to get a victory. The Nevada Griffons scored a run in the top of the eighth inning Monday night to get past the Renegades 7-6 in MINK League action at Vivion Field. With the win, the Griffons cut the gap in the South Division to three games behind the Renegades for the final playoff spot in the South Division in the final week of the regular season.
The Jefferson City Renegades scored first Saturday night, but the St. Joseph Mustangs quickly responded and ran away with the game to claim an 11-3 victory in MINK League action at Phil Welch Stadium.
The Jefferson City Renegades will ride into today’s MINK League All-Star game with some momentum after picking up a 9-8 victory against the Queen City Crush in a non-league game at Vivion Field on Saturday night.
