genius, i think. i am extremely happy to support all of the positive aspects which were eloquently summarized. i am not normally as supportive of things, because we are here to quickly take things under the microscope. in this case, all of the questions we are concerned about are answered. we did not prod the developer, but the developer delivered them. this creates units on site, which is what we would like in almost all projects. it delivers below the requirements for car spaces, based on the market octavia plan. there is bike parking, there is car share. there is consideration of environmental performance and win the baffling. the list goes on. eight or 10 items, which are a closer examination doable he offered a persuasive adaptive reuse. i would agree with the department attempt to continue the discussion on some of the elements of the exterior design, including color. however, i am extremely supportive and laudatory of the situation, taking the building out of a limit
with excellent planning that will ensure a safe, appealing, and useful urban setting for the people who live and work in san francisco. we support the existing 400 foot office tower being converted into 399 multi-residential family units. the area is extremely well served by transit. the ratio of less than 0.3 parking spaces per unit, combined with over 100 bike spaces, is welcome. this is consistent with other stretches of the neighborhood. the proposal to strip the tower of its concrete skin and replace it with a glass curtain wall is bold and elegant in its selection. color selection of the glass and pleasing window rhythms will be critical to the success of the design. we are glad the designers have maintained their simplicity inconsistency. these designs show creativity and promised to be a unique and lively space. views from atop the 29th floor will be extraordinary. through 12 the 12 foot glass windscreen will be thrilling. this is a design upgrade in a prominent loc
good afternoon. my name is joe fang. i would ask you for a little patience and forgiveness if i sound a little incoherent. i barely stepped off the plane coming from hong kong. so it s 3:30 in the morning right now. i have been coming to these meetings for a couple of years now and i have also been traveling to hong kong, china, and other parts of the world for many years. i don t know when this project was first started, it must have been at least four or five years ago, but in these four or five years, you know, i have watched entire cities in china spring up out of nothing. i m just amazed that a business like this, that a project like this that is going to bring nothing but good to the city of san francisco, we sorely need this project, a project like this. not too many businesses would have the patience to endure to go through the hardship and the perseverance of getting this approval process. now, the city and this country is going downhill, is going to hell because o
i ask that this afternoon to see the hospitals grow in the community be approved because bayview hunters point has the most unemployed workers and the majority of them belong to local 261 which i m signatory to. this would bring wealth back into a community that has been slighted so long and there is so much work to be done on this project that i think a lot of people could come off the welfare roles, the unemployment roles and could become productive. that s one community that really deserves it. i m definitely a forerunner for my community and san francisco as a san francisco resident, graduated here and my daughter gets her master s next month. i believe in san francisco and i believe in the commissioners. please vote for the right thing. thank you. good afternoon. my name is joe fang. i would ask you for a little patience and forgiveness if i sound a little incoherent. i barely stepped off the plane coming from hong kong. so it s 3:30 in the morning right now. i have be
construction admission training program as well as a san francisco resident. i lost my job back in 2009 and i spent 18 months unemployed. i had a lot to find out about mission hiring hall and the programs they offer. i met katherine carroll through the training program. they offered me a paid internship for three months. right after, they offered me full time employment and a career opportunity. i am now having the opportunity to give bang to my community by working for the workforce development department. in the last 12 months, we have worked closely with the san francisco office of economics and workforce development as well as some community-based organizations such as mission hiring hall. i strongly feel that we are not only helping people but changing lives. we want to create more work opportunities for those who so desperately need them, just like i did. i am happy to say today that i feel lucky to have a job and i m looking forward to a successful career in the constr
