New Jersey's proposed 'White Claw tax' would impose a $4.40-per-gallon tax on flavored, malt beverages like hard lemonades, wine coolers and alcoholic colas. But some lawmakers are concern the bill is not worded narrowly enough. Another bill would lift limits on food service and events at craft breweries, wineries and distilleries. There are also other change being considered to the state's Prohibition-ear liquor laws.
The bill seeks to establish various handgun-free zones, including government-owned properties, schools, bars, some restaurants, and entertainment venues.
