The Commonwealth Court is the state's highest court of appeals in civil and regulatory matters, including tax matters, state agencies, zoning, and voting. There are currently five Republicans and three Democrats on the bench, with one seat vacant.
Pennsylvania State Police have begun testing body-worn cameras in advance of a statewide rollout to troopers at all of the department's 87 patrol stations. The initial 60-day pilot program is taking place at Troop H in Carlisle, Cumberland County. State police signed a five-year, $40 million contract for 2,500 body-worn cameras, 1,700 new dashboard cameras and new interview room cameras.
