in office, juanita. just like the tweet you put up earlier from the potus account said we broke records more than any other president, period. and we know that breaking records is something that s going to get under trump s skin. he doesn t like being called out like that and he doesn t like being outdone. but the reality is this administration has outdone him by multitudes, so i appreciate again the jubilation in your tone. you said the president was excited. i m going to go with jubilance looking at a bounce in his step because he was able to point to this. i think again it s something going to carry him through on a high through the state of the union where he absolutely is going to be crowing this through that dias because this is a big marker for him and vindicates again all the work democrats did in the last term with the same margin republicans have right now, which we know republicans are squandering with ridiculous policies, efforts to target women of color, and trying to
look around. joe biden and the woke democrats are doing it. president biden, his democrat allies in congress and their radical left policies, that is the root cause of what is ailing this country. you know, i want to take it seriously, juanita, so i want to ask you on this fine friday are woke policies, quote, destroying the economy or do tonight s job numbers look like maybe the story s a little different? look, the word of the day is vindication. that was the theme we heard all through 2022 especially in the lead-up to the mid-term. but the reality is with these job reports that came out what democrats and the republicans did was buttress them further with that legislation, whether the inflation act, chips act. all of thus is what is ultimately going to help the long-term nature of our economy. and i appreciate you mentioning the nuance, ari, because there are people still struggling. we know the black unemployment rate is still 2 points high than
obviously the white house is going to you like crazy, and they should. you know, the president is online for really whatever happens, and in some ways the the bigger story is something that we haven t gotten to yet. they are having this, you know, robust jobs growth. wow, the fed and other measures the administration has taken also has inflation going down. and it really didn t seem you know, people thought you could get inflation down, but there was i think a consensus that it was going to take a recession to do it. and at least for the moment the u.s. economy is able to have, you know, inflation going down with job growth and, you know, full employment basically. and not many people thought that was going to happen. people have been hoping for what s called a soft landing where you slow things down but don t go into a recession, but at the moment you have inflation going down and the economy, you
about to retire you might start looking around how your workplace is going to run differently and who s up next. and that brings us to an update on nikki haley. you may remember she was trump s u.n. ambassador. she s now planning to announce a presidential campaign very soon, and that would break her own pledge not to run against trump. she s clearly changed her tune. i would not run if president trump ran. and i would talk to him about it. are you going to run for president? well, i m not going to make an announcement here, but when you re looking at a run for president you look at two things. you first look at does the current situation push for new leadership. the second question is am i that person that could be that new leader. yes, we need to go in a new direction. and can i be that leader? yes, i think i can be that leader. and can i ask questions and answer them and interview myself, yes, i can do that. am i that person? yes, i can be that person.
