Rudy Giuliani, former personal lawyer to Donald Trump and former mayor of New York City, was the subject of an early-morning FBI raid Wednesday, as our Thomas Gallatin wrote yesterday. Giuliani joined Tucker Carlson last night on Fox News to talk about that raid, and he offered some fascinating details.
After being woken at 6 a.m. by a loud âbang,â Giuliani said seven FBI agents were at his door with a search warrant. âI looked at the warrant, and I said, âYou know, this is extraordinary because I offered to give these to the government and talk it over with them for two years.ââ
As the jury gave its verdict in the Derek Chauvin trial, police in Columbus, Ohio, were called to a scene of young people behaving badly, which eventually led to a white officer shooting and killing a 16-year-old black girl. The Leftmedia, without even a cursory investigation of the facts, immediately jumped on the story, declaring it as yet more âevidenceâ of Americaâs âsystemic racism.â Joining the outrage mob were celebrities like LeBron James, who posted and then deleted an image of the police officer involved in the incident with the message, âYOUâRE NEXT.â The usual suspects are always quick to add their weight to a fraudulent message, especially when an âunarmedâ black girl is killed by police. As weâll soon explain, however, the truth is awfully inconvenient.

Functionally, itâs 219-212 until three Democrats are chosen to replace the three Joe Biden picked off to serve in his administration. A bare majority is 218. In the Senate, Democrats cling to a 50-50+1 majority. But that doesnât mean theyâre going to pursue a 50/50 agenda of moderation.
The elephant in the room, of course, is the Democratsâ second round of impeachment. Without defending President Donald Trumpâs irresponsible rhetoric, itâs a sad reality that twice now Democrats have made a mockery of a solemn and serious tool to check power. At
