Resurrection Tour passes through Milton

Local businessman Dennis Pate is an activist who is concerned about the direction America is heading.
To that end, his organization called Santa Rosa Volunteers contacted the Arise USA! Resurrection Tour and convinced them to make a stop in Milton. Then he organized a festival around the event, which included vendors and performances by local musicians.
The entourage of Arise tour buses landed in Milton on May 23 and multiple speakers enthralled the hundreds who gather at Riverfront Park.
“Our goal is to educate this community on our constitutional rights and get folks involved with our city council, county commissioners, and school board, Pate said. We also want to connect people with each other to form support networks.
It’s not Home Depot, but it’s close

For those who live in East Milton, a trip to one of the big box stores of Pace for an item or two can be an odious experience, battling traffic and spending the time getting there and back.
Fortunately, there’s an alternative in East Milton: HBM Tools, Equipment & Supplies for Home and Business.
“We’re a small Home Depot,” said owner Bob Hunley. “If it’s at Home Depot, we probably have it here.”
Located at 8013 Highway 90, Hunley opened his store in November of 2019. Many of the items he stocks are what consumers head to the big box stores for, like generators, water heaters, household appliances, vacuum cleaners, painting and plumbing supplies, and garden tools.

Few things in life are as nerve-wracking for young parents as finding the perfect daycare for their children. Above all, parents want to know that their children will be loved and cared for as they love and care for them.
For parents in the Pace, Jay, and Five Points area, there is such a place.
Miss Marilyn’s Little Olives Day Care Center exudes the things that parents dream of. Set in an idyllic country church at 9475 Chumuckla Highway, the center offers plenty of outdoor play area, wooded settings that lend itself to exploring nature, and multiple classrooms to accommodate all levels of learners.
Blackwater Pyrates to provide boater safety, blessings on May 29

In keeping with the three core missions of the Blackwater Pyrates, this year’s annual boater safety and Blessing of the Fleet events will be held on Saturday, May 29.
Event crew leader Will Wilson said that every year, in conjunction with National Safe Boating Week, the Blackwater Pyrates partner with the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 1-7 of Pensacola to offer free boat inspections.
The free inspections will be performed by Flotilla members from 9 a.m. until noon at Carpenter’s Park at the boat docks. In the event that any vessel lacks necessary safety items such as PFD’s, whistles, fire extinguishers, or registration numbers, the Blackwater Pyrates will provide these items free of charge.
