Side and youre the enemy, not the opposition, the enemy. We dont talk to each other anymore. I ran for the United States senate because i disagreed with the views of the segregationists, many in the senate at the time. As i led the Judiciary Committee what i was talking about was the Voting Rights act. I was able to pass the Voting Rights act while when i was a young senator when he was still the chairman. We voted against him and beat him on the Voting Rights act. The point im making is you dont have to agree, you dont have to like the people in terms of their views, but you just simply make the case and you beat them, you beat them, without changing the system. Are you going to apologize like cory booker has called for. Apologize for what . Cory should apologize. He knows better. There is not a racist bone in my body. Ive been involved in civil rights
