The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has asked for a detailed report from the Rajasthan government over communal tension in the state's Jodhpur region, sources said on Wednesday.
Rajasthan police has so far arrested 52 people after clashes erupted between two communities on Eid and its eve in Jodhpur, the hometown of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.
Congress has alleged that there will be "no communal riots now in Uttar Pradesh or in Uttarakhand" as elections are over in these states and BJP's purpose has been served.
