The serial sex attacker john worboys will appear at the high court this morning for the start of a legal challenge this morning against his release. Pictures of him just arriving have just come into us in the last few moments. Last month the parole board was criticised when it announced that worboys would be freed after less than nine years in prison. In 2009 worboys was given an indeterminate jail sentence, with a minimum term of at least eight years. Last november the parole board approved his release, but their reasoning remained confidential. That decision was made public last month to a furious reaction. Campaigners hoped the government would apply for a judicial review, but the justice secretary said lawyers had advised against it.
