A Kodiak woman made her first appearance at the Kodiak Courthouse Tuesday for felony charges stemming from a Feb. 19 arrest, according to court documents.
An Alaska State Trooper affidavit states that a call was reported about a man and woman âtampering with/attempting to steal a vehicleâ from a home on Middle Bay Drive. Upon arrival, the trooper identified both the man and the woman. The woman, Joan Pedersen, 27, was confirmed to be on probation for another felony.
The trooper confirmed that neither Pederson nor the man lived at the Middle Bay Drive residence, as it had been vacant since October 2020. The trooper observed Pedersen âstanding near the front of the vehicle which they were attempting to takeâ while the man was pumping up the tires.
