An Indian Army Colonel, a Major and a police official have lost their lives in an encounter that broke out between security forces and terrorists in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday.
Rajouri Encounter: The security forces launched a search and cordon operation in the forested Patrada area on Monday evening and fired a few rounds after noticing the suspicious movement of two persons.
Incriminating materials including arms & ammunition have been recovered from the slain terrorist and the operation has been called off after thorough searches.
The terrorist had a large cache of weapons and ammunition, including one AK56, four AK magazines, 56 AK rounds, a 1x9mm Pistol with Magazine, three grenades and one ammunition pouch.
