A vigil was held here on 9 11 to honor all of them. I am looking at 11 years that he has been gone and it seems like yesterday. Sergeant Michael Kelly decided to join the National Guard right after 9 11. He was in afghanistan for 69 days and was killed in an attack. Reporter he was just 26 years old. As far as memorial day and all that sort of thing goes, every day is memorial for us. There is not a day that we dont think about him and what he stood for. In our eyes, we are proud of him. He is a hero. Reporter Sergeant Kelly was the third oldest of four. He was the funniest guy. He was great. He had the best sense of humor.
