Michael William Emery’s family has been a part of the Boothbay region since the 1950s. The family donated funds for a YMCA family pool and his father, John Emery, donated land for St. Andrews Village and Emery Lane is named in his honor. Michael.
A serving of gratitude followed by appreciation was on the menu Nov. 9 during the Rotary Club of Boothbay Harbor’s annual Veterans Dinner. The event had been cancelled for the past couple years due to COVID-19, but it came back serving 92 meals to.
The Southport Memorial Library will host a Veterans Day Ceremony on Saturday, Nov. 11 to remember and honor those who served. All are invited to gather inside the library at 10:45 a.m. The ceremony will begin at 11 with a quiet moment as the flag is.
