MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Newly appointed Fire Chief Mark McCluskey announces the promotion Tim Swann to Assistant Chief of Operations after serving in an interim role since July 2022.
“Assistant Chief Swann has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of our community,” McCluskey said. “We are proud to recognize his leadership, expertise, and tireless service to the fire department and the people it serves."

Stop the Bleed is an international program that teaches people how to treat life-threatening bleeding. More than 200 city school employees attended training this week.
