The pilot and paramedics met the plane on the ramp and assisted before transporting him to a hospital. We dont have word on his condition but we are told he is a 28year veteran pilot. The first officer an 11year veteran. Some of the passengers were rebooked on a shuttle flight to seattle while others had to wait until a replacement pilot arrived at about midnight or so. Another incident forced an Emergency Landing in denver. We have some cell phone video of this incident. A flight scheduled to come into san diego from new york city was diverted due to an unruly passenger on board were told. Jet blue flight 185 landed in denver at 7 15. Kusa reports it was a Customer Service issue between a Flight Attendant and female passenger. A federal air marshall got involved. Decided to move in. A dramatic end to a sixday standoff. In alabama monday, a federal hostage team stormed an underground bunker, where this man, 65yearold jimmy lee dykes, was holding a 5yearold, known only as ethan, captive. Very special child. He has been through a lot. He has endured a lot. By the grace of god, you know, reporter the two spent 143 hours in the underground shelter, stocked with supplies. Law enforcement officials watching closely every minute from the ground and the air, using small, unmanned aircraft. Based on sketches from a neighbor who says he was once inside dykes bunker, we now know the shelter had a hatch and ladder and pvc pipe that, at times was used to communicate with dykes actually ran sideways, 50 yards under ground to his property. Authorities were able to get a camera inside the bunker. Though theyre not saying how. Monday they saw dykes holding a gun. Believing that ethan was in danger, they decided to breach the bunker.
