Dont expect her to be merely a booster. On kpix 5 this weekend, she said she was not pleased police allowed violence during the protest. I believe people need to be held to high expectations. This is an incredibly important department. They need to perform at the highest level. I expect nothing less. But they also have my absolute support. I must say the Police Officers i spoke with seemed generally pleased to be talking to me about the new mayor. We asked her on whether or not she plans on replacing the current chief. She said she likes what she said and her focus is on finding a new city administrator. Today is the last day for applications for open positions. Applications for the Police Academy will be taken until january 16th. Any minute now sam locardo will be sworn in as san mateos new mateos as san joses new mayor.
