We begin with a big change in the works for people who use and make electronic cigarettes. The fda is taking a bold move and cracking down on every step of their manufacture, marketing and consumption. Abcs Tahman Bradley joins us, now, from washington, with more. Good morning, tahman. Reporter good morning, diana and john. This is something the federal government has been working on for years. Theres virtually no federal oversight of electronic cigarettes, which more and more people have been using for a quick high. Theyve been called a safer alternative to cigarettes. And theyre wildly popular. Ecigarettes, those batterypowered devices that give users a nicotine high from a vapor. We think the harm is less than with a traditional cigarette. Reporter maybe.
