There are returns to the north but you will notice more cloud cover from marin county up through sonoma and napa today. In and out of the clouds but temperatures still on the cool side. 51 san jose. Morgan hill 48. Clouds not really an issue right now. Its the cooler start. Anywhere from 11 degrees cooler novato, 3 or 4 degrees cooler from Mountain View to san jose. A chilly 44 degrees right here in santa cruz. Numbers in the upper 50s. We will call it partly cloudy today and temperatures will be near normal. Considerably cooler. We do have fog and we will continue to see some of the fog develop in our inland valleys. So upper 30s to near 50, and we will see some sunshine today with 50s to near 60 in oakland. Possibility of a shower, but the pattern will remain dry. A magnitude 7. 1 earthquake has hit the southern part of that state, waking residents and shaking buildings. Usgs reports the quake struck around 1 30 this morning alaska time about 160 miles southwest of anchorage. The National Weather service said a tsunami is not expected because of how deep the quake hit. So far there are only reports of Power Outages in the area. Super frustration.
