Throughout monday. Kcrgtv nines brea love talked with a iowa state trooper about precautions that people especially drivers should take while outside. Roads are looking clear in the interstate 380 highway 20 area, but road crews, drivers, and state troopers are all bracing for that winter storm. We spent the afternoon with iowa state trooper david wonders. He says with the type of weather expected, you should not leave your home, unless there is an emergency. He says if you do leave, make sure to dress appropriately, fill up your tank, and bring extra food and water. If you are stranded, stay in your car and call 911. Wonders says there will be plenty of help out on the roads. We just try to get as many guys working on the road as we can. We try and make our way up and down the roadway finding stranded motorist and accidents along the way. He says its very important to do not walk on the roadways in dangerous weather conditions.
