Study suggests, severe COVID-19 infection appears rare in newborn babies ANI | Updated: Dec 19, 2020 19:11 IST London [UK], December 19 (ANI): According to a recent study it was found out that in newborn babies severe COVID-19 rarely appears. The study, published in the journal The Lancet Child and Adolescent Health, traced all the babies who were less than 29 days old and in need to be admitted to hospital due to COVID-19 across the United Kingdom. Led by researchers from the Imperial College London and the Nuffield Department of Population Health at the University of Oxford, this UK-wide analysis is the first study analysing COVID-19 infections in newborns across the whole UK.
