A call is going out to local artists and photographers to help inspire hope and healing in the new expansion of the SIH Cancer Institute in Carterville. The institute system director Jennifer Badiu says they re hosting a zoom event from 5-7 pm Tuesday for those interested in submitting art to get a virtual tour of the expanded space and learn how to move forward. You re going to hear from our architects and designers on some of the aspects of what we re looking for from the nature elements and how to submit proposals and their artist statement about who they are, how they get to where their craft is and what s important to them. Then, our art committee will be selecting 52 pieces of art.
