PLYMOUTH From egg rolls to spring rolls to pizza rolls, Plymouth s Roll Street Tavern serves all of your favorite rolled comfort foods with a unique twist.
After working as a retail and wholesale buyer for more than 25 years, Jeff Zeitz opened Roll Street Tavern on Plymouth s bustling Main Street in September 2020. Zeitz said he decided to turn his 20-year love of making and eating egg rolls into a full-fledged business serving familiar food served in unfamiliar ways, as their tag line goes. I wanted to do a life change where I could go to work every day, really enjoy myself, have some fun, Zeitz said, and I m a foodie and an entrepreneur at heart.
HINGHAM – Town residents voted on Saturday to make Carol Falvey their first new town clerk in more than two decades.
After 24 years, Town Clerk Eileen McCracken will retire and Falvey, a lawyer and former two-term member of the Hingham School Committee, will fill her role.
Falvey said she is looking forward to getting to know the staff in the clerk s office. She said she is focused on enacting new voting laws, as well as increasing voter engagement with new communication methods and improved use of social media. I was very gratified by the results, Falvey said Sunday. I had a very strong team with people from sort of different groups in Hingham and I do feel like I had broad-based support. So I m very humbled by the victory.
HINGHAM Shae and Ken Lewallen had a difficult decision to make when they learned their unborn son had Vein of Galen Malformation, a rare blood vessel abnormality often called VOGM.
They could either stay at the hospital where they were receiving treatment in North Carolina, which had little familiarity with the disease, or they could travel away from family and friends to Boston Children s Hospital to see a doctor who specializes in the disorder.
For Shae, it was an easy decision. I kept telling my husband, Duke is the best hospital here in North Carolina, but I just have a feeling we need to take him somewhere else, and that s when my interest in Boston started becoming piqued, Shae said.
