It will be a beautiful day in the New Wilmington neighborhood on Saturday, May 4, when actor David Newell—best known as Speedy Deliveryman Mr. McFeely from Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood—stops by as part of Westminster College’s and the New Wilmington Rotary Club’s Peace in Our Community Day.
The Westminster College School of Education will host “The Banning,” a scholarly conversation on the topic of banning books and courses across the nation, on Thursday, April 20, in Mueller Theater in the campus’ McKelvey Campus Center.
The Westminster School of Education will offer free creative reading and writing workshops for elementary-aged children from 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, and Thursday, March 30, in the College’s Learn and Grow Laboratory on the third floor of Old Main.
Westminster College education students will get an opportunity to further develop their teaching skills through a new partnership with ASSET Inc. and their PALS (Partnership to Advance Learning in STEM) program.
