BELFAST Belfast Police reported two traffic citations between July 6-15. One citation was issued for imprudent speed and the other citation was issued for operating a motor vehicle while using a handheld device. In addition to the two traffic citations, the following activity was reported.
An arrest or summons does not constitute a conviction, and those charged are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Juveniles aged 17-or-younger are not named.
July 6
Meldon Bates, 56, of Belfast, was issued a summons for criminal trespass and violating a condition of release on High Street.
July 7
Eugene W. Littlefield, 65, of Belfast, was issued a summons for sexual abuse of a minor on Poors Mill Road, stemming from an incident March 16.
