WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - A Watertown man is accused of threatening people at the Jefferson County Public Safety Building early Monday morning.
Sheriff’s deputies say 21-year-old Kevin Youmans used an emergency dispatch phone inside the building to make threats involving firearms against law enforcement and the building itself.
Deputies say he refused to leave and tried to enter a restricted area through a locked door.
Youmans was charged with making a terroristic threat, second-degree obstructing governmental administration, third-degree criminal trespassing, and disorderly conduct.
WATERTOWN â Taylor W. Soderquist, 30, of 1303 State St., Apt. 202, was charged by city police Sunday with driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI, a speeding violation, circumventing an interlock device and drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle on the highway.
According to police records, at about 7:40 p.m. along the 1000 block of State Street, Mr. Soderquist was arrested and taken to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building. There, he submitted to a breath test, which measured his blood alcohol concentration, or BAC, to be 0.18%, well above the 0.08% legal definition of drunk.
