The Out of the Blue streaming series from Blue in downtown Portland is still going strong, and on Friday night, you can catch a show from Britt Connors. The Boston-based singer-songwriter and her band, Bourbon Renewal, carved out their own “y’all-ternative” genre with a sound that blends rock, country, roots and a New Orleans street-parade vibe. Connors’ most recent album is last year’s “Longitude,” home to 11 tracks that bounce from pop to rock to gospel-infused Americana. Your toes will be tapping to “Beaufort Breakdown,” you’ll sway to the moody “I Told You So,” and you’ll waltz ’round your living room to the ballad “Lay My Head.”
